Description
"Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raciun" is the 156th verse of Surah al-Baqarah in the Quran. It is recited against any calamity and signifies unconditional submission to God.
Muslims are commanded to say "Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raciun" when they receive news of death, earthquakes, disasters, or distress.
The Turkish meaning of this prayer is, "They say, 'When disaster strikes them, We truly belong to God, and truly to Him we will return.'"
