Description

Inspired by caftans commonly used during the Ottoman period, this caftan, with its tulip and carnation patterns on a red background, was used in Ottoman palace attire, particularly in the 16th century, before the Tulip Era. Such floral patterns were quite popular during the reigns of Murad III and Ahmed I.

(Osmanlı döneminde yaygın olarak kullanılan kaftanlardan esinlenerek çalışılan bu kaftan, kırmızı zemin üzerindeki lale ve karanfil desenleri ile özellikle 16. yüzyılda Lale Devri öncesi döneminde Osmanlı saray kıyafetlerinde kullanılmıştır.  Bu tarz floral (çiçekli) desenler III. Murad ve I. Ahmed dönemlerinde oldukça popülerdi.)
